This group is for care providers who want to interact with others facing the same issues.  we as a group will help through the emotional turmoil of caring for parents who are transistioning.  You can relax, make friends, gain needed information from your peers or just be in a group that knows what you are facing while dealing with aging family members.  We are all about you, everyone here is an added support. 

This group is for anyone who has the responsibility of providing for the care of their parents or other family members. Topics will include: how to avoid elder fraud, how to maximize benefits from Social Security or Medicare, how to choose the correct nursing home, how to work with professional caregivers, how to recognize memory issues with our parents, and other topics you may wish to hear about.

The WVPC Caregiver Support Group will offer a time for sharing experiences, ideas, situations and frustrations one encounters in the role of caregiver. It is a “time out” for caregivers to take care of themselves while learning how to use community resources as well as more effective methods for coping with the demands of care giving. The goal of this group is to share practical, emotional and spiritual support as caregivers.
